YWCA Bellingham’s CEO Honored as 2025 Professional Woman of the Year
We are thrilled to share that our very own Alle Schene, CEO of YWCA Bellingham, has been named one of the 2025 Whatcom Women in Business Professional Women of the Year!
Each year, Whatcom Women in Business honors women in our community who lead with purpose, demonstrate exceptional professionalism and leadership, and make a lasting impact through service and mentorship. Alle embodies all of these qualities—and more.
As CEO of YWCA Bellingham, Alle is a fierce advocate for equity, dignity, and opportunity. She leads with vision and heart, driving bold efforts to combat poverty and expand access to safe housing for women and children in Whatcom County. Under her leadership, YWCA Bellingham has opened new shelter spaces, secured critical housing properties, and deepened our wraparound services for those facing housing insecurity. Her strategic work and compassionate leadership continue to shape a stronger, more equitable community.
